Testimonies
Here are some testimonies from some of those rangatahi, leaders, staff, and volunteers who have been a part of the PACT journey with the rangatahi and the community.

PRINCIPLE PAPATOETOE HIGH SCHOOL
The commitment and manaakitanga that our students have experienced from PACT mentors have been outstanding. Our PACT mentors developed strong and genuine guiding relationships with our youth at a time when they most need it. They regularly go above and beyond the work done during school time. Our students know that they can reach out to their mentors anytime and will receive the support they need.

VOLUNTEER
PACT provides more than just the typical community programmes, they provide a space to learn and unlearn, grow through the uncomfortable, and help you outwork your skills and abilities. PACT provides a space for you to own your own faith and lead in areas that exceed your expectations. Working alongside PACT has helped me cultivate manaakitanga, whakawhanaungatanga, and Ihu Karaiti in a whole new way.

PACT BOXING
I've had challenges but PACT has been like a light in the darkness. The mentors and some of the other boys understand my struggles and it helps to know that people understand me and can relate to what I’m going through. It's more than just a youth organisation it’s like family for me. I know that they are always willing to spend time with me and I can rely on them. I think if it wasn’t for PACT I’d likely have been in a very different place right now. Because I believe in myself now, I am setting goals for my future and the PACT mentors are still there for me to support me and provide practical help. I will always be grateful to PACT and the difference they’ve made in my life.
